Clean Solar Solutions have completed the cleaning of 200 solar panels for Eastbourne based games supplier Edventure. We were contacted by one of our partners, Kent-based M3 Solar to clean the solar panels as part of the routine maintenance programme for the solar panels. As you can see, this site is plagued by bird droppings, so solar panel cleaning will now be a more frequent part of the maintenance schedule.
Eastbourne based Edventure specialise in the design, manufacture and supply of games to schools across the whole of the UK.
Solar panel arrays can experience serious dips in output due to bird droppings, so it is very important to remove them ASAP. M3 Solar both installed and continue to monitor the output from the solar panels they install. When a noticeable drop in output was recorded, it was determined that solar panel cleaning would boost the output back up to where it should be.
The shallow angle of the solar panels also allows a noticeable build-up in dust and other detritus which again causes the solar panel generation to drop. We fully expect the output of this array to increase because of the solar panels now being cleaned. Some sections were cleaned twice over to ensure that all dirt and dust was removed.
Shuan Beattie, Director of M3 Solar comments “We are delighted to have partnered with Clean Solar Solutions for this project. Steve and his team have been incredibly helpful over the past 18 months in helping us development a comprehensive maintenance package for our clients. On this particular installation, Clean Solar Solutions were able to mobilise with little notice and provide a service that was very well received. Many thanks.”
