Solar Panel Cleaning On Fordingbridge Farm Completed

Clean Solar Solutions have completed the cleaning of 99 solar panels on top of a grain store in Fordingbridge.  We also cover the Blashford, Harbridge, Burgate and Downton areas.     

Why Was Solar Panel Cleaning Needed?

Solar panel cleaning was needed due to the build-up of lichen on the solar panels.  Lichen is damaging to solar panels in a number of ways.  It should be removed as soon as possible.

The solar panels on this Fordingbridge grain store hadn’t been cleaned for some years.  This caused the lichen to form.

How Was The Lichen Removed?

Firstly, the solar panels were soaked.  Secondly, a chemical was applied to help remove the lichen off the solar panels.  Our chemical has approvals of some of the world’s largest solar panel manufacturing companies.  It is safe to use without invalidating the warranty on the solar panels.

Then the panels are scrubbed, removing the lichen and then finally, washed down and rinsed.  All work carried out by Clean Solar Solutions is in conjunction with the SEUK Best Practice Guidelines 2021.
